Christian singles to dance the night away

Christian Singles Network will hold a “South of the Border Dance” for single adults from 7 to 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 18 at Carmichael Presbyterian Church, 5645 Marconi Ave., near Fair Oaks Boulevard in Carmichael. The evening features dance music of all types from 8 to 11:30 p.m. by DJ Dale Chessey and salsa dance lessons from 7 to 8 p.m. by Janine Wright. Dress is casual or tropical. Tickets purchased in advance are $15 or $20 at the door. Admission includes appetizers and dance lessons. Alcohol is not served at these dances. Christian Singles Network, founded in 1992, has more than 7,500 singles on its roster and holds dances every 3 to 4 weeks. For directions or more information, call (530) 878-8606. Membership is not necessary to attend, although members get a $5 discount at the door. All ages and all denominations are welcome Most attendees are between their 30s and 60s, but all ages are welcome. CSN has been holding dances 16 years, drawing singles from the Sacramento, the foothills and beyond. The next dance will be Saturday, May 16, the annual Dateless Prom, held at Carmichael Elks Lodge. CSN also holds dinners and game nights on all non-dance Saturdays, and is planning a cruise to Mexico April 27.
