The Cash Tribute Show featuring James Garner honors the life and music of the legendary “Man in Black” — Johnny Cash.
The foursome will be performing Friday in Cameron Park for one show only.
James Garner is not a Johnny Cash impersonator, he is a Johnny Cash fan and became hooked on Cash’s music at an early age.
At 14-years-old, Garner said he met Cash backstage after one of the singer’s shows, shaking his hand and telling him he was his “biggest fan.”
Garner and his band perform Cash’s music, combining it with historical accounts and personal anecdotes about one of America’s most beloved singing storyteller.
Cash Tribute is fronted by Garner with Denny Colleret on guitar, Rick Duncan playing bass and Nick Auriemmo on drums.
The show is a fun, toe-tapping trip down memory lane honoring Cash’s life and the boom-chicka-boom sound of his longtime backing band, the Tennessee Three.
