Robert "Bob" Miller, the vice president of FEDCorp and a Folsom resident, passed away Tuesday night. Miller, known as a "fixture" in the business community, is survived by his wife, Candy. Miller battled cancer in recent years and had dropped out of the public eye over the last three months as his condition deteriorated, according to friends. "Bob was a fixture in Folsom," said longtime friend Gordon Purdy. Miller was a past president of the Rotary Club of Folsom and the Folsom Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. He also served on the board of directors for Folsom Lake Bank. Messages regarding Miller's passing were being posted online as news spread. "Bob, we miss you," wrote Jack Falk. Kris Kirkpatrick wrote, "The world lost one of the truly good guys." Longtime friend Kerri Howell said Miller's spirits were high up until the last few days of his life. "He was laughing and joking until Monday morning," Howell said. "He was one of the greatest people I ever met." Joe Gagliardi, Folsom Chamber of Commerce CEO, called Miller "a community patron, someone who gave back." Details on services are still pending. For more on this story, see next week's Telegraph.
