Beginning lacrosse clinics open to boys and girls

The Folsom Cordova Lacrosse Association is offering beginners lacrosse clinics on July 28 and Aug. 4 at the Folsom Sports Complex. The clinics are held from 9 to 11 a.m. at Kemp Field behind the complex and are open to both boys and girls in fourth through 12th grade. Participants should wear athletic clothing and shoes. Equipment will be provided. Clinics will introduce participants to the sport and will teach skills in proper stick handling, cradling, passing, shooting, as well as defensive skills. Local coaches and players will conduct the clinics designed for the beginner player. Cost is $25 for Folsom residents and $32 for athletes outside of Folsom.
