Ballet company seeks volunteers for 'Nutcracker'

Local residents will have visions of sugarplum fairies dancing in their heads as tickets to Pamela Hayes Classical Ballet’s “The Nutcracker” are now on sale. The annual favorite will be performed Dec. 17-19 at the 700-seat Jill Solberg Performing Arts Theater, 1655 Iron Point Road, Folsom. Performances will take place at 7 p.m. on Dec. 17 and 2 p.m. on Dec. 18 and 19. To purchase tickets, ranging in prices from $18-$24, visit Pamela Hayes’ “The Nutcracker” has been recognized for its unique entertainment approach and costuming. “The Nutcracker is a holiday tradition for many local families,” Hayes said. “We are proud to present our production of this holiday classic, which will showcase our dancers, as well as dancers from the community, in a classical and magical performance.” Pamela Hayes Classical Ballet is seeking sponsors for “The Nutcracker.” Sponsors receive recognition and other benefits. For more information, visit The organization also is seeking volunteers to join the Pamela Hayes Ballet Resource and Volunteer Organization (BRAVO). Volunteers assist in the summer show, “The Nutcracker” in December, and at fundraisers and special events. The group also provides clerical support, assistance with public relations and outreach activities, and helps with upkeep of school facilities.
