Fusion Taps is the newest gastro pub to hit Folsom that takes on a whole new concept, and it’s delicious.

Owner Pangkham Pam Phonephet’s brother owned Thai Fusion in Sacramento and she wanted to make it bigger and incorporate craft beer into the mix.

Not only is Fusion Taps a Thai restaurant with craft beer, they also have bar food such as burgers, wings and fries.

Opened just a few months ago, Fusion Taps already has some of the popular items.

“The pad Thai, red curry, green curry and drunken noodles have been favorites,” Pam said. “We also have bulgogi fries. It’s beef marinated in bulgogi sauce, crispy fries with Sriracha chipotle mayo and green onions on top.”

The local pub also has 24 taps of local craft beer, four of which are on nitro.

Pam said they are still in the soft opening phase and ask for feedback and critiques.

“We want our customers to give us critiques on what they like, what they don’t like, what we need to take off the menu and what we need to add,” she said. “We are aiming toward a gastro-type pub, so we will be adding some different food items in the near future.”

Pam said the atmosphere is family-friendly and a place where sports fans can come watch the game.

“We have a chill-chill atmosphere,” she said. “We have Tap TV where guests can play trivia through an app to our TV, and we also have Touch Tunes where guests can pick what music they want to hear here. We have a bunch of TVs so people can come here to watch the games. I am a huge sports fan; I love watching any game.”

Fusion Taps hosted their grand opening celebration on June 9. Pam said some local breweries came out for a little beer festival on their patio as well as a raffle and prizes.

“My favorite part so far has been hearing customers say they enjoy the many beer selections,” she said.

Happy hour is from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and everything is $1 off.

“At Fusion Taps, customers can expect good food, good beer and good customer service,” Pam said.
