The Folsom Fire Department received a call of a single-vehicle accident with a tree at 11:23 a.m. today, Aug. 6, on the 1800 block of East Natoma Street, said Folsom Fire Division Chief Chris Fletchall.
Fletchall said when units arrived, one victim was trapped inside the vehicle and one victim was outside the vehicle.
He said firefighters from Truck 35 used extraction devices to free the trapped victim.
Both victims were transported to an area hospital by Medic 35 and Medic 37.
Two engine companies, one truck company, two medics, and one battalion chief responded to this incident.
The cause is still under investigation by the Folsom Police Department.
No further information has been released at this time.
