The El Dorado Hills Taz placed second at the 2016 Suburban Swim League Championships held July 22-24.
The boys placed first with 616 points, just 19 points in front of Park Terrance, however the Park Terrace girls finished first by 129 points in front of the Taz female swimmers, which allowed Park Terrace to take the championship.
The Broadstone Barracudas finished fourth all the way across the board -- girls, boys and overall -- while the Folsom Sea Otters placed eighth.
The following are local swimmers who placed first in their events.

Tyler Nguyen set a league record in winning the 11-12 boys’ 50-yard breast stroke, finishing in 32.09. Nguyen also won the 100-yard individual medley (1:05.09), 50-yard back (30.81) and 50-yard free (26.11).
