There is much construction and improvements happening around town, and starting in the evening of Sunday, Aug. 5, construction will begin on three major Folsom roads.

Roads including Madison Avenue between Main Avenue and Lake Natoma Drive, Greenback Lane between Lake Natoma Drive and Folsom-Auburn Road, and Folsom-Auburn Road between Greenback Lane and Oak Avenue will be under construction nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., and is estimated to be completed by Oct. 12. There will be no work on Friday or Saturday evenings.

In addition to pavement rehabilitation, other important aspects of the project include rubberized asphalt paving, upgrades to pedestrian facilities with the installation of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant ramps, lane adjustments to accommodate bike lanes through the Greenback and Folsom-Auburn intersection, vehicle video detection during construction to avoid traffic congestion, enhanced wet-night visibility traffic striping and improvements to existing drainage facilities along Greenback Lane.
