2 Sacramento men arrested for alleged rape

At 7:45 p.m. on Friday, July 21, El Dorado County Sheriff's Office received a report of a possible rape and kidnapping. 

The victim was located at the Target in El Dorado Hills when she reported to a Target employee that she had been kidnapped, held hostage and raped. The victim stated the suspects were last seen in the Target parking lot, officials said.

Deputies quickly arrived on scene and began their investigation. The alleged crime occurred at a Motel 6 in Cameron Park, during a 24-hour period. 

The victim provided the description and identification of the two suspects. Deputies conducted an intensive search and located 32-year-old Michael Horn, of Fair Oaks, and 28-year-old Ramon Castro, of Sacramento. 

El Dorado County Sheriff detectives arrived and assisted in the investigation. After interviews were conducted and search warrants were served, Horn and Castro were arrested. Castro is a documented gang member out of Sacramento.

Horn was arrested in the Town Center parking lot, at Casa Ramos. Ramon was located and arrested at In-N-Out in Folsom.

Castro was booked into the El Dorado County Jail for 288a (D) P.C., child molestation; 261 (a) (2) P.C., rape; 186.22 (b) (1) P.C., gang enhancement; 286 (c) (2) (a) P.C., sodomy; and two felony No Bail Warrants out of Sacramento County. 

Horn was arrested for one No Bail Warrant out of Sacramento County. 

Sheriff’s detectives are continuing their investigation and have filed this case with the El Dorado County District Attorney’s Office for Prosecution.
