EDH wins section intermediate baseball title

The Northern California Little League Intermediate Sectional Championship belongs to the El Dorado Hills 50-70 All-Stars.

Facing the Carmichael All-Stars in Rocklin on July 3, El Dorado Hills won the game and the section championship by way of a 6-5 victory.

The pitching trio of Ryan Throckmorton, Jake Fields and Kaden Koschik combined to allow five runs on nine hits, which throwing to catcher Bo Gordon, who was solid behind the plate all night.

Offensive, Koschik, John Steel, Dylan Barthel and Brock Fowler combined for six hits, none bigger than Fowler’s bases-loaded single, which turned a 4-3 deficit into a 6-4 lead.

EDH also featured strong defense. Caden Lowder, Anthony Ramirez and Landon Vetter were solid defensively with Vetter sealing the victory after tracking down two hard hit fly balls in center field to end the game and securing the championship for El Dorado Hills.

The EDH All-Stars begin play in regionals on Saturday in San Jose.
