Manny Balalis is the new owner of Canyon Grill and Alehouse, and he is working towards success.
Balalis brings his fun and friendly personality to the table when it comes to his restaurant, and it really shows in the atmosphere from the second you walk in.
Balalis took over in October of last year and said he has had so much fun in past three months and is excited to watch the restaurant grow.
“We are a family-owned sports bar and restaurant with something for everyone who comes in,” he said. “I want to make a difference, and I want people to remember their experience here.”
Canyon Grill and Alehouse may have a simple menu, but the selection and tastes are anything but.
“We have bar fare such as chicken wings, calamari burgers and sandwiches, but also have healthy entrees such as the salmon entrée, tri tip, salads and more. We shrunk the size of the menu, but we really tried to hit all the areas for what people’s food needs are,” Balalis said.
Balalis said when it comes to his food, he wants to make sure the level of quality is consistent for every single meal.
“Whenever you come in, it will taste the same and look the same. We want to keep the consistency,” he said. “We have all new cooks, servers and bartenders who also understand the consistency of customer service as well as the mixology for our drinks.”
This family-friendly restaurant and sports bar is a great place to take the family out to on weekends, especially since there is live music and special wine tasting events, twice a month.
“We have a full bar and 20 taps of micro beers that rotate regularly,” he said. “We wanted to focus on the local region breweries as well as the wineries. Twice a month on Friday evenings, we have wine tasting from local wineries.”
When asked what his favorite thing about his restaurant was, he said meeting everyone.
“This is a whole new experience for me. I love meeting new people from the area in a great, comfortable environment,” Balalis said. “I recently joined the Folsom Chamber of Commerce, and I have to say they are an unbelievable group of people. They are really active with their members and want to see their members be successful. I’m really excited about it.”
On top of the large parking lot available, Canyon Grill and Alehouse has a comfortable patio area that is perfect for spring and summer afternoon meals, especially with a craft cocktail in hand.
“Come in and try us out. We have a friendly, fun atmosphere with some great staff!” Balalis said.
