Registration is now open for this year’s Kick It Clinic.
The annual soccer clinic for kids ages 5 to 9 will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 26. Over the years, the clinic has trained hundreds of kids in the fundamentals of soccer, as well as raising money for a local family in need of support.
This year’s clinic will be held in honor of its founder, Maria Totushek, who passed away from cancer earlier this month. All proceeds will be used to start a College Scholarship Fund in Maria’s name. Local youth who have played soccer and show a financial need to attend college will be able to apply for these scholarship funds.
Cost of the clinic is $35 and all participants will receive a T-shirt. There will be barbecue dinner and snow cones for purchase. A disc jockey will provided entertainment and a silent auction. Some items available for bidding on are as follows: A three-night stay get-away at Sea Ranch, Broadstone Racquet Club Membership, Maribou Salon Gift Certificates and Starbucks gift basket to name a few.
