Construction home sales and office staff at Woodside Homes wrapped a conference room full of Christmas gifts Friday, Dec. 7, for eight children ranging in age from three to 18.

“We rely on gifts from our donors and are grateful to receive gifts for the children,” said Cyndee Reed, founder of the Adopt-a-Family program of Northern California.

The nonprofit group that is staffed by volunteers is coordinating the donation of Christmas gifts for more than 2,500 children from 700 families.

“We are frugal with the donation income we receive so that all donations go toward making the program happen,” she said.

The gifts from Woodside Homes were purchased by employees with lists provided by the families.

“The wish lists from the children are loaded with basic needs – jackets, shoes, socks, pajamas – but also include some fun items such as toys, games and movies,” said Scott Hoisington, president of Folsom-based Woodside Homes of Northern California. “Our team embraced this effort and filled the gift requests within a couple of weeks, permeating our office with the spirit of giving.”

Woodside Homes has designed, built and sold more than 40,000 homes throughout California, Arizona, Nevada and Utah since 1977. The company is committed to building homes that are “Better by Design,” and personalized to meet the needs, desires and dreams of individual homebuyers.
