As we close out this beautiful October, the final weekend brings with it a chance for some additional fun events, Folsom style! This weekend, Oct. 27-28, will feature the world-class event L’Etape, which will be headquartered at the Palladio. This amateur endurance cycling event is produced by AEG, the same company that brought AMGEN Tour of California to Folsom over these last several years. Visit Folsom is a proud sponsor of this regional event which includes a traveling Tour de France exhibit, along with vendors and riders, will be buzzing around Palladio throughout the weekend. More information can be found at

It is election season and the final day for submitting your ballot is Tuesday, Nov. 6. Details about your ballots and drop locations can be found at Congratulations to all the candidates who have shown their commitment to Folsom through their willingness to serve this community. Make your voice heard and exercise your privilege to vote.

Immediately following the election, watch for the annual Veteran’s Day Parade on Sunday, Nov. 11, starting at 9 a.m. More than 3,000 participants and groups in our community participate in this tribute to all that have served our country.

The opening of the Historic Folsom Skating Rink will officially kick off the holiday season. Friday, Nov. 9, at 4 p.m. will be the official opening day for this favorite Folsom tradition. Make it a fun, family night and patronize local restaurants for dinner along with a night out on the ice with music and festivities. More information can be found at

We are fortunate to have many options in Folsom for your holiday shopping. Saturday, Nov. 24, will bring the return of Small Business Saturday and our chance to spotlight the many businesses in Folsom that rely on your patronage for their ongoing success. Watch our Folsom Chamber social media channels, Facebook and Instagram, for reminders about the many specialty stores and family-run businesses that are available throughout Folsom to serve you. Spending your dollars in Folsom allows these businesses to continue to invest in the community.

As we enter this season of gratitude and appreciation for all our blessings, living and/or working in this strong community is at the top of our list.
